In 2018, I received an unexpected email from a man named Nik Powell, who introduced himself as a part of the Virgin Records team. He explained that he came across my work and was impressed by my animation skills. He then went on to ask if I would be interested in creating an animation for the popular band Gorillaz. I was both shocked and thrilled at the same time.

 

As an aspiring animator, getting an opportunity to work with such a renowned band was a dream come true. I eagerly accepted the offer and started working closely with Nik to understand the vision and concept behind the animation. It was a challenging but fulfilling experience, and I am grateful to Nik for giving me this opportunity that helped me grow as an artist. The final animation was well-received by both the band and their fans, and it remains one of the highlights of my career as an animator. Working with Nik and getting the chance to collaborate with such an iconic band will always hold a special place in my heart.
